Rain Sticks & Maracas — Handmade Peruvian Andean Shamanic Instruments

These are handmade Andean rain sticks and maracas, each a voice of the earth you can hold in your hands. The rain stick holds the sound of water inside it — tip it slowly and you hear the rain falling through the mountains, the voice of the rivers that give life. The maraca is the heartbeat, the rhythm that calls the spirits and carries a ceremony forward.

There are several to choose from, each one a little different. Sound them to open a ceremony, to cleanse a space, to settle a restless heart, or simply to breathe and come back to yourself. Our people have used these voices for generations to call the rains and to pray.

I don't offer them to fix anything in you, because nothing in you is broken. I offer them as artifacts of wisdom and love. These pieces come from Peru, and I hold each one I bring to you dear as my own child — chosen and carried by a high priestess of the Andes, an altomisayoq, with love, from the Source of all things.

Estos son palos de lluvia y maracas andinos hechos a mano, cada uno una voz de la tierra que puedes sostener en tus manos. El palo de lluvia guarda el sonido del agua en su interior — inclínalo despacio y escucharás la lluvia cayendo por las montañas, la voz de los ríos que dan vida. La maraca es el latido, el ritmo que llama a los espíritus y lleva adelante una ceremonia.
